NO GOOD DEED
PREMISE | CHARACTERS | FAQ | RULES
Just a month ago, former mutants who'd received the shot to take their powers away began witnessing a return of their powers. Only these powers were ten times stronger than anything they'd felt before. Some were able to control themselves, but others were not so lucky. Now, with security and safety uncertain, it seems the wall between humans and mutants is rising up again.
Only days ago, and underground anti-mutant cell held its first official meeting. Tired of dealing with the mercurial habits of mutants, they have decided to retaliate against them. In just two weeks' time they will gather men and women from every walk of life, anyone who is willing to go in to Xavier's school with weapons drawn, and take as many mutants with them to hell as they can. Some are even mutants themselves, disgusted with what they may turn back into or have already returned to, and willing to strike a blow that could signify the ends of mutants.
This is a movie!canonverse game to start, but it won't stay that way for long. We’re staring this game off with a literal bang, and it’s only going to get better from there.
Game opens DECEMBER 17.

|Mutants are gladiators.|
After the death of Charles Xavier, Revolve became the home for all mutants, whether they like it or not. Stripped of their rights, fitted with collars and powers suppressed until their matches, life on Revolve is difficult and rigid. Their days are spent training for fights, working at the island's amusement park or dreaming of some day earning the outrageous sum of money with which to buy their freedom.
What would you do? Would you play the game? Fight the system? Start a revolution? Plot your escape?
The future of mutantkind rests in your hands.

Let the Tournament begin!
There is still time to get into the game before the big tournament next Saturday. Mutant against mutant. Are you
strong enough to beat the King Fischer's pet?
|Welcome to Revolve...|
Man, I see...the strongest and smartest men who've ever lived. I see all this potential, and I see squandering. God damn it, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables; slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need. We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off.

Creator of Storm and Nightcrawler dies.
RIP Dave Cockrum.
Quoted from Newsarama
"According to several sources, legendary X-Men and comic book artist Dave Cockrum passed away in his sleep last night, his death a result of diabetes and its resultant complications. He was 63 years old.
Cockrum, a fixture of the American Comics scene in the ‘70s was born in Oregon to a father who was a lieutenant colonel in the US Air Force. As a result, Cockrum traveled frequently as a child, which allowed comic books to provide some semblance of stability from city to city.
Following his father into the military, Cockrum served in the Navy for six years following high school, and then entered comics and publishing, first at Warren Publishing, and then as an assistant inker to Murphy Anderson at DC Comics. It was during this period that Cockrum’s art became known with the Legion of Super-Heroes, helping them to move from their Silver Age roots into a more modern look.
While his Legion work is widely known to Legion fans, Cockrum will forever be known as the artist who, with Len Wein, and later with Chris Claremont, created the new X-Men, and redefined both the existing characters and revitalized the world of the mutants and the franchise for Marvel. Cockrum had two major stints as artist on Uncanny X-Men, from Giant-Size X-Men #1 in 1975 through 1977, and then from 1981-1983.
Though he had worked less and less in comics in recent years, Cockrum had never left the hearts of his fans, as they rallied around him when it was announced in 2004 that he was seriously ill due to complications from diabetes and pneumonia. A benefit book and action was held, while Marvel Comics announced that it would pay Cockrum retroactively for his work in design and co-creation of the new X-Men. " Current Mood: sad

Hello, there was nothing about this in the rules so if this isn't allowed please feel free to delete me. I'm trying not to step on any toes here. I'll even put it behind a cut so as not to clutter.( Insert something wittyCollapse )

Hey guys, nice to meet you all!
This is my fave pairing in the limited expanse of the X-Men universe I've explored so far and gotta tell you, I don't imagine another one ever taking it's place.
So who's up for finding Matthew Vaughn and his consortium of evil responsible for cutting Kurt out of X3 and torturing them to death with...something very nasty and painful. Ooh, splinters. Yes, death by splinters and nettle stings, won't that be fun? :D
Sighs, well, lets just hope he'll be brought back if they do another one.

I saved the best for last (or, rather, first since this last post is at the top). Well, I don't know if it's the best, but it is my favorite out of all the fanfiction stories I've written. It's called "Lennon's Ghost" and it's based on a real trip I took with my Dad. All the artwork described in the story is real, just so you know. Please let me know what you think of it! :Dhttp://www.fanfiction.net/s/1708257/1/
I do have some other stories that feature Kuroro, but it's really not a big aspect of the plot so I'm not going to put up links to them. If you're interested in checking them out, however, they can all be found (along with a number of non-Kuroro X-Men fics) at my FF.NET site: http://www.fanfiction.net/u/526713/
So you won't have to scroll all over the place, the two Kuroro-ish stories I haven't posted here are:
"The Melody of the Stars" (which has a sequel entitled "Haunted Recollections")
"Nightcrawler Meets Rudolph"
And that's all the Kuroro stories I have as of this moment. Good night, and have a great weekend everybody! :D
"The Day the Earth Stood Back" and "An Unsung Hero"
Ha ha! You know, I just noticed the heading up there says it's Friday the 13th today! I feel so oblivious now--I completely didn't realize that all day. Why is 13 supposed to be an unlucky number, anyway? I've lived in the 13th state my whole life and I've never found Friday the 13th to be unlucky--although Saturday the 14th has often hosted some odd occurances. Oh, and here's an interesting fact: in RI, on Rt. 95 the exit for the airport is Exit 13! Hmmm...maybe the 13s cancel each other out?
Anyway here are the links to two more stories. The first, "The Day the Earth Stood Back," is not exactly a Kuroro story, although it does have a few contemplative moments. I'm putting it up mainly because it is related to the second story "An Unsung Hero" which is very much a Kuroro story. They're not exactly sequels; more like cousins. In any case, I hope you enjoy them!
Long live crazy alternate reality cross-time capers! ;)

Belasco's Beatrice Story Link
Hi Everyone! I've been meaning to share more of my Kuroro stories here for a long time, and since my dial-up connection is actually working tonight (yay!) I decided to take advantage of the opportunity! Here is the much-overdue link to my rather long Kuroro story "Belasco's Beatrice." I know I wrote in an earlier post that I was planning to tighten up the saggy bits, but I honestly haven't been able to find any time to edit it so I'm just going to link to it as is. If you have any suggestions or constructive criticism you could offer on the story, I'd really appreciate it!
I hope you enjoy it! :Dhttp://www.fanfiction.net/s/1897090/1/

Kuroro Christmas Challenge Fanfic
Yes, I know I'm a day late, I’ve had some ISP difficulty. It isn't like I had a lot of competition.
What can I say, I'm a die-hard Kuroro fan. I have to get my fix from somewhere. This fic was the result of two challenges in one. I came up with the idea a while back when we were challenged to write a story involving a different Marvel universe than movieverse. I put it on the backburner until I could get a handle on the plot, and still it has been over a month in the writing. Now before some of you run screaming into the night when I tell you this is X-Evolutionverse, give it a chance. There is a plot twist I think you will enjoy, and you know me, I don’t usually do kinky. (If you like kinky, oh well... ) Renaissance ManRating
– The X-Men are the property of Marvel Comics. This story is for fun and not for profit, so please don’t sue me. ( Renaissance ManCollapse ) Current Mood: giddy

Pretty God awful news...
So…how do we all feel about this
(guess that’s a silly question…)
So far the only ones who seem to like it is the Marvel executives that demanded it…

3) All entries must be clearly marked as entries!
